Where to Watch/Listen: Breeders’ Cup Week 2024
Events / Travel
Horse racing’s World Championship week has arrived, and the eyes of the sport will all be focused in on picturesque Del Mar in southern California, where the 41st Breeders’ Cup will be held on Friday, Nov. 1, and Saturday, Nov. 2. Fourteen races, each of them worth at least $1 million, will be run covering the major divisions of competition in Thoroughbred racing, with the five restricted to 2-year-olds held on what’s called “Future Stars Friday” and the remaining nine, topped by the $7 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic, held on “Championship Saturday.”

NBC Sports will as usual provide live coverage of the Breeders’ Cup, with 12 of the 14 races televised on either NBC or USA Network and all of them streamed on Peacock. Four of the five Future Stars Friday races will air on USA Network, and then four of nine races will also air on USA Network during Championship Saturday. Four of the remaining five Saturday races – the Longines Classic, the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf, the Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff, and the Prevagen Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint – will be broadcast live on NBC, with post time for the Classic set for 5:41 p.m ET.
FanDuel TV is the other outlet to access for Breeders’ Cup coverage as it will telecast 13 of 14 World Championship races live – every one except the Longines Classic – on two “Player’s Shows” Friday and Saturday (this includes the two races not shown on NBC or USA Network, the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Friday evening and the Big Ass Fans Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile Saturday evening).
FanDuel TV will also broadcast the Rood & Riddle Post Position Draw for the 41st Breeders’ Cup live from the paddock at Del Mar on Monday, Oct. 28, beginning at 7:15 p.m. ET. And the network continues its “Breakfast at the Breeders’ Cup” series every morning through Thursday, Oct. 31. “Breakfast at the Breeders’ Cup” airs live from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET each day. That morning show, plus the Rood & Riddle Post-Position Draw, will also stream live on Breeders’ Cup’s digital and social media channels.
All through the week, FanDuel TV continues its daily widespread coverage of horse racing in North America and around the world, with wall-to-wall coverage of Del Mar’s opening-day card on Thursday, Oct. 31, and live racing from Churchill Downs, Gulfstream Park, and many other tracks.
Live racing from Belmont at the Big A can be viewed on “America’s Day at the Races” from Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 3. That NYRA-produced program airs on FOX Sports – check the below schedule for channels and times. To top off a thrilling week in the sport, FOX Sports will also present a live broadcast of Australia’s most prestigious race, the Melbourne Cup, on Monday evening, Nov. 4, airing on FS2.
Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
For the first time, America's Best Racing will be streaming more than seven hours of live Breeders’ Cup coverage from the infield at Del Mar. Totally unscripted and off-the-cuff, these “Breeders’ Cup LIVE!” shows will feature an array of entertaining guests and betting experts — and will be hosted by ABR’s Dan Tordjman and Rachel Miller. The two shows are scheduled for Breeders’ Cup Friday, beginning at 5:15 p.m. ET/2:15 p.m. PT, and resuming on Breeders’ Cup Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. PT. You can catch both streams on America’s Best Racing's X, Facebook and YouTube channels.
