Mage pulled off a 15-1 upset in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve, but the Good Magic colt was not a complete surprise coming off a runner-up finish by a length to champion Forte in the Curlin Florida Derby Presented by Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms at Xalapa. Now, he profiles as a 3-year-old on the rise having posted career-best speed figures and shown the stamina and maturity to win a 1 ¼-mile classic race in front of 150,000 people May 6 at Churchill Downs.
