Anisette ran her North American record to three-for-three with a devastatingly professional win in the $300,000 Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks for 3-year-old fillies at 1 1/8 miles on turf at Del Mar. Under Umberto Rispoli, Anisette rallied from last, coming off the rail to pass the lollygaggers before elegantly darting back to the rail to wave as she glided past the rest of them in the stretch.

Ruby Nell set the pace through fractions of :23.84, :47.21, and 1:11.92, while Anisette was content to sit at least 10 lengths behind in last through the first half mile. Once she started to roll Rispoli guided her wherever he wanted to be as if there were no limit to how many times he could press the gas and then assess his next move.

Anisette burst to the lead inside the eighth pole and finished up about three lengths in front in a final time of 1:48.15.

"What a turn of foot," Rispoli said. "What a pleasure to ride a filly like that."

Trainer Leonard Powell added: "She's a joy. She's very genuine and she loves her job and, as you can see, she's thriving here."

Be Your Best was second, just ahead of Impact Warrior in third. Anisette paid $3.60 to win while asserting herself as arguably the top 3-year-old turf filly in the United States.

By Awtaad out of the Teofilo mare Tutti Frutti, Anisette improved her overall record to 4-1-0 from six starts, with the two losses being her first two races in England.
