After a jam-packed weekend filled with major races coast to coast including three prep races for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve, the upcoming weekend offers another important Derby prep plus the return of 2024’s Horse of the Year, both on Saturday, March 8.

The Lambholm South Tampa Bay Derby at Tampa Bay Downs offers a total of 105 qualifying points to the 151^st Kentucky Derby distributed to the top five finishers. The race anchors a marquee day at the Oldsmar, Fla., track featuring five other stakes.

Meanwhile, at Oaklawn Park on Saturday superstar filly Thorpedo Anna is scheduled to make her 4-year-old debut in the Azeri Stakes, kicking off a campaign that will ideally finish up with a repeat bid in the Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff in the fall.

Both the Tampa Bay Derby and the Azeri Stakes will be broadcast live on “America’s Day at the Races” along with other action from Oaklawn Park, Tampa Bay Downs, and Aqueduct. The NYRA-based show airs from Friday, March 7, to Sunday, March 9 on FOX Sports channels – check the guide below for times.

Both of the weekend’s big races will also air on FanDuel TV along with races from Santa Anita Park (including the B. Wayne Hughes Beholder Mile Stakes Presented by FanDuel TV Saturday), Gulfstream Park, Turfway Park, and other tracks as part of that network’s daily coverage
