One of the biggest weeks of racing on the annual calendar has arrived, as Saratoga Race Course prepares for its marquee event of the summer meet on Saturday, Aug. 24. The 155th DraftKings Travers Stakes brings together several of the best 3-year-olds in training to compete for a $1.25 million purse and a great deal of prestige. Excitement about this year’s Travers is even higher than usual due to the presence of standout filly Thorpedo Anna in the eight-horse field.

The Travers anchors a Saturday racecard at Saratoga that also features four other Grade 1 races, two of which – the Resorts World Casino Sword Dancer Stakes and the Ballerina Handicap – are “Win and You’re In” qualifiers for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf and the PNC Bank Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint, respectively.

Saratoga’s races will be broadcast on NYRA’s “Saratoga Live” show from Wednesday, Aug. 21, through Sunday, Aug. 25 on FOX Sports channels. The Travers itself plus the other Grade 1 events on Aug. 24 will air nationwide during a three-and-a-half-hour “Saratoga Saturdays” program on FOX, and a special broadcast of the Juddmonte International Stakes from York Racecourse in England (another “Win and You’re In” race for the Longines Turf) will air on FS2 Wednesday. Check the below schedule for channels and air times covering next week at the Spa.

The Saratoga cards are far from the only main-event action this week, though. Del Mar will host a Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” prep Saturday – the Pat O’Brien Stakes for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint – and that race plus all others from Del Mar during the week will air on FanDuel TV. That network will also show races from tracks such as Gulfstream Park and Ellis Park during the week. A highlight of the schedule is the Charles Town Classic Stakes and other stakes from Charles Town on Friday evening, Aug. 23.

Lastly, a huge day of racing at Woodbine highlighted by the 165th running of the King’s Plate Stakes was postponed from Aug. 17 to Friday, Aug. 23, due to inclement weather. The first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown will air on FanDuel TV Friday afternoon along with three other rescheduled stakes races.

Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.

America’s Best Racing produced two livestreams last week previewing the King’s Plate, and will present another one this Friday, Aug. 23 covering the rescheduled races from Woodbine. “King’s Plate LIVE 2.0” will air on ABR’s Facebook, X, and YouTube channels at a start time of 5 p.m. ET and with host Dan Tordjman back at the mic along with Ren Carothers and J.D. Fox plus several special guests.
