Where to Watch/Listen: The 2023 Dubai World Cup and Major Kentucky Derby Preps
Events / TravelAfter a relatively quiet weekend with no major races on the schedule, activity picks back up in a big way March 25-26, with three qualifying points preps for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve slated on these shores as well as this year’s Dubai World Cup Festival featuring another Derby points race held on the other side of the globe at Meydan Racecourse.
FanDuel TV will show all three Kentucky Derby preps: the Twinspires.com Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds and the Jeff Ruby Steaks at Turfway Park, both on Saturday, March 25; and the Sunland Park Derby at Sunland Park set for Sunday, March 26. The channel will also broadcast racing from Gulfstream Park, Santa Anita Park, and other tracks as per usual.
Both the Louisiana Derby and the Jeff Ruby will also be broadcast on CNBC and Peacock during a one-hour show Saturday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET as part of NBC Sports’ “Road to the Kentucky Derby” series. The show will be hosted by Ahmed Fareed with analysis from Randy Moss and Hall of Fame jockey Jerry Bailey.
Action from Meydan, highlighted by the Dubai World Cup Sponsored by Emirates Airline and the UAE Derby (a Kentucky Derby prep), will be broadcast on both FanDuel TV and on FS2 during a Saturday morning broadcast.
“America’s Day at the Races” with races at Aqueduct, Oaklawn Park, and Tampa Bay Downs, will also air Thursday, Friday, and Sunday afternoons this week on FS2 and FS1 – check the below schedule for air times. In addition to its usual coverage of the aforementioned three tracks, “America’s Day at the Races” will also broadcast action from Sunland Park on Sunday including the Sunland Park Derby.
Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku
