A cloudy, overcast day in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., could not dampen the spirits of those in attendance at Saratoga Race Course Aug. 28 for the 152^nd Runhappy Travers Stakes, the marquee race of the meet and a key stakes in determining the year-end 3-year-old male championship.

In addition to the 1 ¼-mile “Mid-Summer Derby,” the card Saturday at Saratoga also featured the Resorts World Casino Sword Dancer Stakes, a qualifying race for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf); the Personal Ensign Stakes Presented by Lia Infiniti, a Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” prep for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff; and the Ketel One Ballerina Stakes, a qualifying prep race for the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.
