#9 Sir Winston (15-1 odds): He broke cleanly, settled toward the back of the pack while saving ground along the inside, dropped back to last and then made a good rally to get up for fifth. He made up a good amount of ground while going wide around the turn and I was encouraged with the way he responded after dropping back to last. He could have easily thrown in the towel at that point but I liked his energy in the final furlong. I like that Leparoux got to know him last time out and he should be able to close into what I expect will be a fast early pace.
Strategy on $100 Budget:
$1 Trifecta: 9 with 2,3,6,8,11,14 with 2,3,6,8,11,14 ($30)
$1 Trifecta: 2,3,6,8,11,14 with 9 with 2,3,6,8,11,14 ($30)
$.1 Trifecta: 2,3,6,8,11,14 with 2,3,6,8,11,14 with 9 ($30)
$10 Win on #9 Sir Winston
ROI Year to date: $600 wagered / $0 returned
