Now held at Gulfstream Park, the Princess Rooney Handicap is a six furlong (three quarters of a mile) sprint on the dirt for fillies and mares aged three and older. A Breeders’ Cup Win and You’re In race for the Filly and Mare Sprint, Musical Romance won the 2011 edition of the Breeders’ Cup race and won the 2012 edition of this race. Winners of this race include Hurricane Bertie, Dream Supreme, Madcap Escapade, Malibu Mint, Sassy image and Starship Truffles.
