Bullard

Bullard turned heads in his first appearance on the racetrack Sept. 1, 2024, when he closed from last to win a six-furlong maiden race for 2-year-olds  by 1 ¼ lengths at Del Mar. The Gun Runner colt trained by Michael McCarthy returned 2 ½ months later during Del Mar’s Bing Crosby fall meet in the Grade 3 Bob Hope Stakes Nov. 17. Sent off as the 11-10 favorite, Bullard once again settled well off the early lead and rallied in the stretch to win, taking the seven-furlong Bob Hope by a widening 4 ¾ lengths under Umberto Rispoli.

Kentucky-bred Bullard is out of the unraced Warrior’s Reward mare Reve d’Amour and is a half-brother to stakes winner Mundaye Call.
