In one of the most anticipated races of Travers Stakes weekend, Domestic Product delivered the finest performance of his career to out-finish Prince of Monaco and Book'em Danno and win the $500,000 Grade 1 H. Allen Jerkens Memorial Stakes Aug. 24 at Saratoga Race Course.
Racing far off a hot pace set by Grade 2 Amsterdam Stakes victor World Record, Domestic Product launched his assault turning for home and stormed past battling rivals in the stretch and won a battle to the wire against favored Prince of Monaco, who was game in defeat in second by a neck.
Ridden by Flavien Prat, Domestic Product stopped the timer in 1:21.71 for seven furlongs on a fast track and paid $11.00 to win.
Book'em Danno, the winner of the Woody Stephens Stakes presented by Mohegan Sun at Saratoga back in June, completed the trifecta. Timberlake finished fourth in an 11-horse field. Pace-setting World Record faded to sixth.
Domestic Product is trained by Chad Brown, who also conditioned the colt's sire, Practical Joke, to a victory in the 2017 edition of the H. Allen Jerkens Memorial Stakes.
Up-and-coming 4-year-old sprinter Mullikin improved his record to 4-for-4 in 2024 with a gate-to-wire romp in the $500,000 Grade 1 Forego Stakes at Saratoga Race Course on Travers Stakes Day, Aug. 24.
Flavien Prat was aboard the front-running winner, who zipped seven furlongs in 1:21.75 on a fast track. The Forego marked the first Grade 1 victory for Mullikin in his nine-race career. Trainer Rudy Brisset earned his first Grade 1 win of his career with the 4-year-old son of Violence.

Juddmonte homebred Scylla finished second, while favored Vahva tried to rally along the inside but hung late and finished third. Early leader Munnys Gold faded to finish seventh. Society's time for seven furlongs on a fast track was 1:22.00.
The Ballerina was a Breeders' Cup Challenge Series "win and you're in" race, and the victory secured an all-expense-paid trip for Society to the PNC Bank Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint Nov. 2 at Del Mar. Society finished fourth in the 2023 edition at Santa Anita Park.

Far Bridge defeated the heavily backed Godolphin pair of Measured Time and Silver Knott with a wire-to-wire upset win in the $750,000 Grade 1 Resorts World Casino Sword Dancer Stakes Aug. 24 at Saratoga Race Course.
Under a masterful ride from newly elected Hall of Famer Joel Rosario, the 4-year-old Far Bridge cruised through early fractions in front and had plenty left in the tank to hold off a charge from Measured Time in the lane.
Trained by Christophe Clement, Far Bridge ($18.40) hit the wire in a final time of 2:29.51 for the 1 1/2 miles on firm turf. Measured Time and Silver Knott, who stalked Far Bridge throughout, finished second and third for trainer Charlie Appleby.
With his win in the Sword Dancer, a Breeders' Cup Challenge Series event, Far Bridge receives an automatic fees-paid berth into the field for the Longines Breeders' Cup Turf Nov. 2 at Del Mar. -- Bob Kieckhefer
