Future Is Now, a Maryland-bred Great Notion filly, won her career debut Aug. 5, 2023, by 1 ¼ lengths in a 5 ½-furlong turf sprint at Colonial Downs. After a start on dirt where she finished a distant fourth, the filly was moved back to turf and, aside from start at Gulfstream Park that was switched to an all-weather track, she ran well on the grass, winning two of six starts with one second into spring 2024.

The filly won her first stakes race in start no. 11 when she rallied from a stalking spot to take the five-furlong The Very One Stakes May 17 at Pimlico. Future Is Now then tried graded stakes company in her next start June 7 at Saratoga, facing a solid field in the Grade 2 Intercontinental Stakes Presented by MTV Solutions. She rallied from a stalking position once again and was all out to hold off odds-on favorite Roses for Debra by a head to capture her second consecutive stakes race on turf.
Future Is Now is out of the Bernardini mare Past as Prelude and is a half-sister to stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Call Another Play.
