Alan French is a longtime Thoroughbred racing fan who fell in love with the sport on his first visit to Santa Anita Park in 2007. He loves to learn about the history of the sport as well as write about it. He enjoys handicapping the races and is always on the lookout for new stories about the horses and people who have shaped racing, particularly in California. In his spare time he enjoys reading and writing.
