Annise Montplaisir attended college at North Dakota State University and held internships with the American Quarter Horse Association in Amarillo, Texas, and withThe Saratoga Special, a horse racing newspaper printed only during the Saratoga race meet, for two summers as a staff writer. After graduation, Montplaisir moved to Kentucky, where she interned with Fasig-Tipton Co., Keeneland, and Mill Ridge Farm before being accepted into the Godolphin Flying Start program in 2018.

After graduating from that program, Annise has continued to work in the industry and coordinated the ABR Spanish-language livestream La Trifecta. Annise co-founded Amplify Horse Racing in 2019 and assumed the role of executive director in 2023.
