The third annual Fan Choice Awards return to America’s Best Racing in 2021 with new fan finalist voting, new categories, and four $1,000 Amazon gift card prizes. Past Fan Choice Awards winners include jockeys John Velazquez and Irad Ortiz Jr., trainer Chad Brown, and racing analysts Maggie Wolfendale and Britney Eurton.

America’s Best Racing is pleased to once again partner with the Secretariat “Vox Populi” Awards to honor fans’ favorite racehorse of 2021. Voting for the Secretariat “Vox Populi” Award is held on both Secretariat.com and americasbestracing.net, and past winners include Authentic (2020), Bricks and Mortar (2019), Winx (2018), Ben’s Cat (2017), California Chrome (2016 and 2014), American Pharoah (2015), Mucho Macho Man (2013), Paynter (2012), Rapid Redux (2011), and Zenyatta (inaugural 2010).

New this year, fans will have the opportunity to select finalists for four categories: Favorite Racetrack Food (voting open from July 31 – Aug. 7), Favorite Small-Mid Circuit Racetrack (voting open from Aug. 8 - 15), Favorite TV Personality (voting open from Aug. 16 - 22), and Favorite Podcast/Radio Show (voting open from Aug. 23 - 31). Each category will be open to poll voting for a week in August, and fans will have the opportunity to select the six finalists for end-of-year voting.

Also new this year, the Fan Choice Awards will have an all-new voting platform designed to give users a seamless and stylish experience when voting commences in November.

This year’s Fan Choice Awards will include 11 categories, including three new categories: Legends: All-Time Favorite Filly, Favorite Bet, and Favorite Small to Mid-Circuit Racetrack. The full list of the 2021 categories is:

Once all category finalists are decided, racing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites as well as enter to win one of four $1,000 Amazon gift cards when official voting for the Fan Choice Awards kicks off this November following the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
