Patch Adams won his maiden race as a 2-year-old in his second lifetime outing on Nov. 30, 2024, at Churchill Downs. His next start came in his 3-year-old debut on Jan. 25, 2025, in the Grade 3 $1 million Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn Park, where he finished fourth in a nine-horse field. The Southwest Stakes was a points race on the Road to the 2025 Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve, and with his fourth-place finish, Patch Adams picked up four qualifying points.
