Trainer Brittany Russell made her first appearance in the Breeders’ Cup World Championships Nov. 2 when her racehorse Post Time started in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile. Follow along as Russell, who is based in Maryland, enjoys the atmosphere of the Breeders’ Cup at Del Mar and gets Post Time ready for the big race with assistance from jockey Sheldon Russell, her husband.
“Post Time’s brought us here, and whatever happens today, we’re just proud of this horse,” Brittany said. “We’ve had a great time with him, and I hope we continue to have a great time with him.”
Post Time made the Russells’ first trip to the Breeders’ Cup a special one indeed by rallying late to finish second in the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.
