Midnight Mile gained notice during summer and fall 2022 by winning her first two races in England as a 2-year-old and emerging as a contender for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. The No Nay Never filly took a turf sprint on July 16 by three-quarters of a length at Doncaster and then returned after a break of nearly three months to win the seven-furlong Godolphin Lifetime Care Oh So Sharp Stakes by a head on Oct. 7 at Newmarket.

Irish-bred Midnight Mile is out of the Galileo mare Ruby Tuesday. Ruby Tuesday is a half-sister (same dam [mother], different sire [father]) to Irish One Thousand Guineas winner Yesterday, who finished third in the 2003 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf, and also to Quarter Moon, a Group 1 winner who was runner-up in both the Irish and English Oaks.
