Where to Eat and Drink in Miami
Events / TravelWith the Xpressbet.com Florida Derby fast approaching, there is plenty to look forward to in South Florida for local and out of town racegoers. But once the races have been made official, where are you going to go for dinner and a drink?
The dining options in South Florida are abundant and I have put together a list of places worthy of a visit with the help of two locals: Ramiro Restrepo (@RamiroRestrepo) and Vince Mathews (@VinnyTheGreek). Ramiro and Vince are in the loop of all things racing and nightlife in South Florida area. Give them a follow!
If you'd like to learn more about any of the restaurants, click on their name to head to their website.
1. Bourbon Steak
Ramiro has good things to say about their steak choices. This is another option that is a short drive away from the racetrack.
2. Drunken Dragon
I’m a big fan of Korean barbecue and I’ve heard good things about Drunken Dragon. Whenever I go to a Korean barbecue restaurant, bulgogi and short ribs are on my list of must-order items and this place has them.
3. Bodega Taqueria y Tequila
I want to fly in just to try this place. I would get al pastor tacos, barbacoa tacos, chips and salsa, fried jalapeño peppers, and a Paloma Paloma to wash it all down.
4. Yardbird Southern Table & Bar
Give me some fried chicken with green beans and roasted cauliflower and I’m set. Don’t forget the hot sauce.
5. Eating House
This Coral Gables spot is celebrated for its flavorful locally sourced dishes, graffiti art decor, and brunch.
