After that win, Whiskey Double went on the sidelines until his 3-year-old season. He won a first-level allowance in his third start of the year, at Oaklawn Park on Feb. 28, then was second in the Grade 3 Bay Shore Stakes at Aqueduct on Apr. 3. Next out, he was third in the Grade 3 Pat Day Mile Stakes Presented by LG&E and KU at Churchill Downs on May 1, finishing behind his victorious stablemate Jackie's Warrior.
Whiskey Double sold for $875,000 at the Keeneland September yearling sale in 2019. He's sired by Into Mischief, out of the Munnings mare Lake Sebago.
