Turnerloose made her stakes debut at Kentucky Downs on Sept. 6, 2021. She was the 2-1 favorite in the Aristocrat Gaming Juvenile Fillies. Under confident handling from Florent Geroux, she rated off the pace and drew off to win by five lengths.
On the basis of that performance, Turnerloose was the odds-on choice in the Grade 2 JPMorgan Chase Jessamine Stakes at Keeneland on Oct. 13. She set the pace and ended up finishing third.

Turnerloose switched to dirt for her 2022 debut, the Grade 2 Rachel Alexandra Stakes Presented by Fasig-Tipton Stakes on Feb. 19. She rated off the pace and got up late for the 17.50-1 upset. That win earned her 50 qualifying points on the road to the Longines Kentucky Oaks. In her final prep race for the Oaks, Turnerloose finished fourth in the Grade 2 Fair Grounds Oaks.
