Ryvit broke his maiden in a 3-year-old maiden race at Oaklawn Park on March 25, 2023, and then went on a roll at the meet and won two more subsequent races, first with an allowance win at six furlongs on April 14, and then with a stakes victory in the $150,000 Bachelor Stakes on April 29.
Ryvit left Oaklawn Park but kept his winning streak alive on the Preakness Day undercard when he won the Grade 3 $200,000 Chirck Lang Stakes, going wire to wire to score by 1 3/4 lengths atop a seven-horse field.
