After running third in his career debut at Listowel Racecourse in Ireland in June 2022, Reckoning Force was sent to the U.S. as part of a small contingent for European trainer Joseph O’Brien stabled at Saratoga Race Course.
The Air Force Blue colt finished fourth then third in two starts during the summer at Saratoga before a breakthrough win Sept. 14 at Kentucky Downs, where he closed from sixth and battled gamely in deep stretch to prevail by a neck in the $500,000 Kentucky Downs Juvenile Mile Stakes.
