Liam's Map won four straight races by a combined margin of 22 1/4 lengths after finishing second in his career debut for trainer Todd Pletcher. Included during the streak was his first career stakes victory in the Harlan's Holiday Stakes in December 2014.
Liam's Map made his graded stakes debut in the Grade 1 Whitney Handicap in August 2015 and led into deep stretch before Honor Code caught him in the final strides. He rebounded in a big way in the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes in September, setting the pace and powering to a 4 3/4-length runaway win.
