In Due Time

In Due Time made his career debut in a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race at Monmouth Park on July 18, 2021. He dueled on the lead throughout and kicked clear in the last eighth to win by a length. 

After that win, In Due Time went to the sidelines for a few months. He was well-beaten in his 3-year-old debut at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 8, 2022, but roared back to win a first-level allowance optional claiming race at Gulfstream by 5 3/4 lengths on Feb. 4. 

On the strength of that effort, In Due Time was sent off at 6.20-1 in his graded stakes debut, the Grade 2 Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth Stakes at Gulfstream on Mar. 5. He rated off the early pace and closed well to finish second, 3 1/2 lengths behind the winner, Simplification. In Due Time earned 20 qualifying points towards the Kentucky Derby Presented By Woodford Reserve with that performance. 

In Due Time made his next start in the Grade 3 Stonestreet Lexington Stakes at Keeneland on Apr. 16. He made a mild rally in the stretch and finished third, beaten 2 3/4 lengths by the victorious Tawny Port. In Due Time earned four more Derby qualifying points with that effort.

In Due Time was sold to a partnership of Edge Racing, Medallion Racing, and Parkland Thoroughbreds for $95,000 at the Ocala Breeders' Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training in the spring of 2021.
