Carson's Run

Carson's Run won his maiden race at first asking in his first career race as a 2-year-old at Saratoga, taking a 1 1/16-mile turf race on July 29, 2023. He followed that up with a second-place finish in his second lifetime start in the Grade 3 With Anticipation Stakes at Saratoga on Aug. 31.

Carson's Run was entered in the Grade 1 $500,000 Summer Stakes at Woodbine in his third career start on Sept. 16. Sent off as the 3-1 third choice on the tote board in a field of eight, Carson's Run trailed the field much of the way and then circled horses on the turn and came into the stretch with an eight-wide run to roll past the field on the far outside for the come-from-behind victory. The Summer Stakes was a Breeders' Cup Challenge Series win and you're in qualifier, and the victory secured a spot for Carson's Run in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf on Nov. 3 at Santa Anita.

Carson's Run is trained by Christophe Clement. He was bred in Kentucky by the sire Cupid out of the mare Hot N Hectic by Henny Hughes.
